Story Land Roller Coaster

This is the 1st year that they can ride the roller coaster. They went on the one at Sesame Place in June and now at Story Land. Sofia puts her arms up during the whole ride. Alessandra gets brave some times too.

Story Land

We had a great time at Story Land. Alessandra decided she was not going to smile in any of the pictures. The first time we went to Story Land the girls were only 11 months (2 years ago). This time around the girls were tall enough and we went on every ride. The girls really liked the roller coaster and the circus. This is becoming a summer tradition for us.

Update on School

Sofia and Alessandra are doing great in school. They love going and when we arrive, they remind me I have to go to work. They alwasys run to give me a hug and tell me they miss me when I go pick them up. Very sweet! I am very happy with the school and they will start full time 8/18/08.
The girls (specially Alessandra) are doing a great job at spelling and guessing the first letter of words they hear.

Summer Time

3rd and 4th day of School

I was so nervous about the kids starting school. I wasn't sure if they were going to like and how they would be around other kids. Apparently they are doing great. July 8th was the kids 1st full day. Before I said good bye, Sofia looks at me and says: "Mama, you go to work". No cries. I loved it! I heard they had a good day. The teacher says that they each do their own activity and don't really cling to each other. Alessandra is more talkative in school and Sofia is the shy one. They play outside and in the water during the day and that is their favorite thing to do. The teacher tells me that they are not very happy when they have to go inside. On Tuesday they walked to the library and the kids did great. At circle time they participate and at nap time there were no problems getting them on their mats.

First Day of School

Sofia e Alessanda comecaram escola dia 1 de Julho. Por enquanto elas so estao indo 3 horas por dia, 2 dias por semana. Vamos almetando o tempo na escola ate elas estarem indo full time. E a mesma escola que os primos Olivia e Chase vao. Nos ja tinhamos visitado a escola varias vezes, conhecido os coleginhas e a professora. Tinhamos comprado um tenis especialmente para o primeiro dia de aula e conversamos bastante sobre o grande dia. No primeiro dia a Oliva nao estva la. A Sofia estava muito bem ate colocar ela no carro. A Alessandra entrou na escola arrumou uma atividade e nem me deu mais atencao. Sofia chorou e foi dificil para eu sair. A professora falou que depois que sai elas duas tiveram um bom dia mas tiveram dificuldade quando a atividade mudava. O segundo dia a Olivia estava la. A Sofia segurou na mao dela o tempo todo e elas se divertiram. Espero que elas comecem a realmente gostar da escola.
