7th Birthday Gift - Trip to Disney Scavenger Hunt

For the girls birthday present we planned a trip to Disney World, FL one week after their birthday.  We decided to tell them about the trip with a scavenger hunt on the morning of their birthday.  The girls wake up to a note by the door.  The girls loved the scavenger hunt, (at the time probably even more than the trip itself).  Alessandra asked me to do more scavenger hunts.  Below are the details of the scavenger hunt.

 

Good morning my 7 year olds!

You are about to go on a scavenger hunt to find your very unusual birthday gift.

First, make your bed, and put on your clothes.

Then take the basket, and follow this path to start.

(Note at their bedroom door, attached to a string leading to the 2^nd note at the parents’ bedroom.  Each note had a small Disney princess figuring for them to collect)

Clue # 1

Your birthday gift is a surprise trip where you will have lots of fun with the family.

Your next clue is in a place full of treats,

but the place where we are going

has the best goodies and sweets

(Kitchen, snack basket)

Clue # 2

Where we are going is very far away

Next clue is where you can see everything bigger

(Master bathroom, mom’s make-up mirror)

Clue # 3

You are getting very good at this!

Our adventure starts in 8 days.  So you will need a calendar to count down your days.

To find your next clue you will need to look where you will find something you put on to swim

(Kids bedroom, swimsuit drawer)

Clue # 5

Where we will go is a very sunny place, so,

you will need your swim suit and sunscreen every day

where your clothes gets cleaned

(Laundry room, inside the washer)

Wow you are pretty smart!

Your trip is to a place that will spin you wild.

Next clue is waiting where you start a new day,

brushing flossing and putting your tooth brush away

Clue # 7

To get to our destination, we will go on a plane

and it will take all morning to get there

First brush your teeth.

Then go find your next clue where daddy gets strong and listen to music

Where we are headed using your imagination is a very easy thing to do

Your next trip is where we often snuggle you,

where you drift into dreams about fairies and princess too

Don’t worry, this is your last to do,

but only when you find this one last clue.

Go where you play and sing every day

My sweet Sofia and Alessandra,

To celebrate your birthday this year,

We are taking you on a trip far away from here.

 

Don’t worry, we have plenty of time to pack.

We are leaving in 8 days, next Sunday.

 

The place where we are going is a magical place with so much to do,

We will stay for 5 nights, and 6 days just for you.

 

You will need to bring your sunglasses, your walking shoes,

your bathing suit and sunscreen too.

 

It has been hard to keep this secret.

Mommy and Daddy have been planning this trip for a long time

with lots of love and care,

And we are very excited to take you there.

 

“So, where are we going?” You ask.  I am sure you want to know.

Some place warm and sunny, where you will not see snow.

 

It is a dream come true for little ones and big kids too.

It will fill your hearts with glee,

And since you are our princess, a castle we will see.

 

We will be going on a plane and when we get there,

we might be greeted by a mouse.

 

I think you might have guessed it, this is our gift to you.

So, you will need to pack your bags because…

Happy 7th Birthday - party #2 @ MamasnDivas

We celebrated Sofia and Alessandra's 7th birthday @ Mamas N Divas on Sept 8th.  It was a total of 15 girls getting their nails and a pedicure too.  Then there was a fashion show.  The girls were happy to see their friends.
